If you have no experience in crocheting but would like to learn how to crochet this class is for you. You are someone who has never crocheted or maybe tried years ago but really don’t know/understand how it is done- Yep! This class is for you!
Friday Dates: March 7, 14, 21, 28 Time: 4pm-6pm
You will be crocheting two place mats. (More if you finish early and have enough yarn left over!)
You will need: Hook: anywhere from a 4mm to a 4.5mm (hence a: 4mm, 4.25mm, or a 4.5mm) One (1) sewing needle (has a sharp end and is metal) with a very large eye (used to weave in ends). NO plastic crochet needle. Three (3) colors of worsted acrylic yarn (NO bulky/large/heavy weight yarn, and NO black or very dark colors). You will approximately three skeins; hence approximately 1,025-1,225 yards or yarn. (also, using a variegated yarn in this project adds interest.)
You will learn how to crochet: a ‘Chain’ (‘Ch’) (all crocheting is based off of a Chain), Single Crochet (‘SC’), change colors, weave in ends, and add a simple edge to your place mats.
Take note; to finish your project this class is based on you doing crocheting homework, in order to finish your project by the end of four (4) weeks of class.
