If you have ever been in the Greenwood Area Library you have more than likely seen our beautifully hand painted 4-season door located behind the Circulation desk. With the newly renovated front half of the library, we have a similar 6 panel door that we would like to have painted by local artists.
We are looking for up to 6 local artists to help us make this door a piece of art for everyone to enjoy for years to come.
Each panel is 18.5″W X 7″H. We are wanting the panels to be painted in a book theme. Think Harry Potter, The Jungle Book, or whatever your favorite book might be! Each painting needs to be appropriate for viewing by all ages.
We are looking for individuals in the 7th Grade or older who are interested in painting a panel(s) in the door. If interested, please submit a drawing(s) to the library director by November 8th. Drawing or mock-up can be done in colored pencil, crayon or even painted.
